Answer That Phone!

One of the delightful aspects of your children getting out of the toddler stage is that you don't need to monitor their every move. While enjoying some free time, oh, alright, I was eating Thai Kettle chips and bouncing a newborn, I noticed that the 2 1/2 year old was missing.

Not alarmed, I called her name.
Nothing.

I called her name again.
Nothing.

I called again with a sense of urgency, while scrambling over toys and general chaos in my search.
Nothing.

As I rounded the corner into the living room, I noticed her lying on the bottom shelf of the armoire, staring up at the bottoms of coats, hoping to glimpse snow and a centaur no doubt. She did not see me, but a little voice said, "Taylor isn't here right now, please leave a message after the beep....beeeeeeeep".

Answer That Phone Next time!
