While driving to the in-laws yesterday afternoon, Cornell was particularly quiet. I inquired if he wanted to play a guessing game, and he told me he was busy taking a nap (with his eyes open apparently). Later, he challenged me to solve a riddle he made up.
Cornell (spoken very slowly, as if to imply I am simple minded): "Mom, what is the day after yesterday?"
Me: "Hmmmm.....you've got me Cornell, I don't know."
Cornell: "TODAY!"
I then asked him, "What is the day before tomorrow?"
He thought and thought, and finally exclaimed, as his face lit up, "TODAY!".
Later, I heard him mutter to himself, "Wow, that nap got me smart in the brains."
